I came across this one site called AintItCoolNews.com, particularly a section where a journalist talks about his visit to the Pixar Animation Studios office to see how is it like to work with them. Read more about his visit and found out how interesting is would be.
To me, it’s way way way cool, not because it’s Pixar, but because how they treat their employees :p
Blog - originated from the term ‘Web Log’, is supposed to be some sort of online ‘diary’ - thoughts, news , information posted in chronological order. But what is to be posted depends on what kind of weblog is it. For example, a software development weblog might post news about what is being done by the developers and such.
However, once we take a look at personal weblogs, it can be about almost anything. Most of them are about their lives, and anything they find interesting. Some treated weblogs like a place to post updates about themselves as well as a place to channel their thoughts for the world to see (as well as sometimes complaining or whining about something that they’re not happy with). One such blog (a very famous one at that) is XiaXue’s WebLog. Almost all the blogs listed in my Links section (on the sidebar) belongs to this category.
Some people post abstract things, that probably only they can understand it themselves. Nonetheless, it is interesting to read these kind of blogs. One such blog is Dry Saliva. Have a look :)
So what kind of weblogs that I like? Well, I prefer interesting and educating weblogs. I often frequent to graphic/design personal weblogs just to see what theyre doing. They are both inspiring and interesting to read - two of my favorite are Verlee’s Blog and Hicksdesign (now some of you know where i got the idea to make my Badgiruel.BounceMe.Net template :p).
As for my own blog, I just post anything I feel like - sometimes I’ll give out some simple guides, sometimes I whine mildly. What do you guys think a weblog should be?

This is the most ‘interesting’ government website I’ve ever seen so far. With their top-notch advanced flash animation (that I bet any 13 year old can do). Not to mention the typical ENTER button (splash page - which usually only suitable for Creative, Personal or Specialized websites imo).
Once you enter, BAM! Java™ applet loading an image with a ‘water-reflection’ effect (although it somehow appears horrible in Mozilla, I don’t bother to try in IE). I’m not against Java, but anything that stalls my PC for a while pisses me off. Ya ya, I know my PC sucks, but hey - that applet is not even necessary! Other than those mentioned, everything else inside the site is fine, does it job - delivers information, although it is neither impressive nor attractive.
I have no intention to humiliate this particular government body. However, I couldn’t help myself - it is too… well, humiliating. I know they probably have low budject (maybe none?) - but you dont have to be this lame!
p/s: Watch the road’s animation. Failed attempt to make a pseudo-moving road I guess. I’m so glad to redesign this site - for a fee of course ;)
Ever saw those nice backgrounds that have those repeating diagonal lines on them on some super-cool website?
I used to save them, blow them up, modify them and use them on some of my works - however this give you limitation if you want some different style. This guide will show the fundamentals of making this kind of lines.
I found this pretty amusing flash game (well I played it non-stop for like 4 hours!) - Try to hit the poor guy as far as you could!

10 Illogical scenes in local tv series
1. A man walks to the public phone, inserts the coins and begin dialling. In less than 2 seconds after he finishes dialling, he begins to say “Hello”. This is indeed illogical, because a phone connection takes at least 5 seconds to complete, plus the amount of time for the reciever to pickup the phone and answer it. This particular (typical) scene have existed in the local series since god-knows-when.
2. In a series called Gerak Khas, everytime before the conversation scene in the police headquarters, the camera will show a scene from outside the headquarters, whereby two female police officers walked in and out of the building. These particular female officers appears on almost every single episode of this series (with exactly the same scene). They look like they’re marching lazily as well.
3. Most of the local thrillers features a lot of screaming scenes. Does the director forgot that the audience is the one supposed to scream, not the cast, right?
4. If youre from the Northern Malaysia, you will probably gets disgusted when watching the cast trying to act and talk the Northern slangs. They think they manage to act like the northern people, however they failed to.
5. In a Malay series, if theres a scene where a Chinese lady is having a conversation with her family members, the conversation is in Malay! Not Chinese!. However, if you watch local Chinese series, they will show a Malay lady talking in Malay as well with her family.
6. One overused line in Gerak Khas - “Tuan ada baca akhbar semalam?” (“Have you read yesterday’s newspaper, Sir?”)
7. A scene in a series features a guy in his office, working. Suddenly his mobile phone rings. Funny thing is, this mobile phone is clearly a modern, Nokia phone with color and polyphonic tones. However, the sound effect that comes with it is the lame, old-school monophonic mobile phones. (I think they need to update their sound-effect library :/)
8. This is a funny one (for the tech inclicned) - A person (in the show) tells his friend that he is going to write and email to somebody. Then he sits in front of this computer and started typing. The camera then focused on the monitor. Guess what? It is clearly that this guy is typing a normal document in Microsoft Word!
9. In one scene in a movie, theres a shooting scene between the police and the criminals. The police is using a car (in this case, its talking about Mitsubishi Lancer) as a sheild. We can clearly see they are showered by hundreds of bullets from the criminal. However, the car only suffers one shot. (Amazing isnt it -.-)
10. Almost all local thrillers have the same ending - it is all a dream. So you guys shouldn’t bother to go to the cinema and watch thse kind of films because the ending will always be the same - it is all a dream. This is a guideline that have been written by the Lembaga Penapisan Filem (I’m no really sure if this is true, but oh well!).

SPOILERS ALERT: There’s an unexpected scene in this episode. Somewhere in the middle of the show, we can see Gilbert Dullandal is meeting Talia Gladys. As we all know, these two have something going on.
So, when I saw this dialogue afterwards, I was thinking that he is definitely saying that to Talia (since they did well in their last mission anyways, plus Talia is the captain of Minerva too).
Instead, he was telling that to the other guy (see the first screencap - darn I can’t recall his name!). Well nothing weird about that, yeah I know. But what’s weird is the scene afterwards:
They could be siblings or just very close childhood friends. But whats with the girly expression on the face! (I’m gonna kill myself if that guy is a girl x.X).
