Coke Boom
Ever wonder what will happen when you mix Coke and Mentos? A group of MMU Student (that have nothing really better to do) demonstrates what happened.
(So if you run by a sticky floor in one of the stairs in Cyberia Apartments, Cyberjaya, you know who did it!)

Here is the science behind it:
The reason why Mentos work so well is two fold - Tiny pits on the surface of the candy and the weight of the candy. Each Mentos candy has thousands of tiny pits all over the surface. These tiny pits are called nucleation sites - perfect places for carbon dioxide bubbles to form. As soon as the Mentos hit the soda, bubbles form all over the surface of the candy. Couple this with the fact that the Mentos candies are heavy and sink to the bottom of the bottle and you’ve got a double-whammy. When all this gas is released, it literally pushes all of the liquid up and out of the bottle in an incredible soda blast.
They have loads of empty lands in Cyberjaya and yet they chose to do it on the stairs? pfft, kids.

Ah interesting. So that means it have nothing to do with the “minty” side of mentos eh? No wonder there’s no news about somebody’s stomach burst out because they ate mentos and drink coke.

ohmigosh!! if dat were to happen ross…my stomach would have burst a thousand times coz i juz love drinking coke while i’m eating mentos… hmmm…*wonders if my dog died coz of licking some coke after eating mentos*
