Group Photo

Me, Bebe, Fazri, Abu and his girlfriend Tiqah went to Putrajaya to watch fireworks (we don’t feel like prawling around the crowds full of people last night). The event is located somewhere at the Jabatan Pendaftaran’s office, and it is also one of those rare nights where Putrajaya have heavy traffic (jams!).

Along the way we saw a line of photographers and their shiny tripods along the side of Jambatan Wawasan (one of the famous bridge there, you can see the photo here if you’re note sure which one is it). We choose to sit at one of the “sightseeing” point around the monument, anticipating that the fireworks are gonna be fired above the lake.

Fireworks Fireworks Fireworks

Fireworks Fireworks

We’re wrong. But not that bad, since the actual fireworks still fire above our heads, like 90 degrees to the right! So then it begins, the non-stop shooting of fireworks! I’ve gotten too excited, thus the composition is rather… strange. But anyhow, tell me what you guys think yeah :)

Ps: As always, click on them to view their full size :)

Amazing things do happen sometimes. Will it remain?

Last Saturday, my bag pack was stolen at Alamanda, Putrajaya (car was parked next to the parking lot office, at the very same floor where cars enter and leave, talk about an uberly public place). The thieves are probably the wanted syndicate that steals electronic gadgets and market them offshore. What puzzles me is that how did they manage to break into a car out in the open in public?

Inside the bag pack, is my few months old notebook (freaking nice specs, sniff), my new Logitech v400 mouse (sniff), my 2gb pen drive full of my stuff (sniff!), some manual for my D70s lens and charger, our own personalized Ross & Nirah notebook (sniffles), Nikon D70s warranty card (god damn it) and my Hewlett-Packard employee ID and Security card (this is the most troublesome of all).

A few days ago, I got an offline message via my Yahoo! Messenger. Apparently this dude is from Indonesia, asking me for my BIOS password of my "ex notebook"

WTF? (Yes, a very natural reaction for most of us)

So after some chat up and asking, found out that he is actually the buyer for the notebook, and was test-driving it (that's how I understands his explanations). I then explained to him that the notebook is rightfully mine and it was stolen few days back and that my important data is in there, of which I need so badly. He agreed to help me move the data out and uninstall certain tools in the notebook. He also said that he probably not going to buy the unit because he found out it was stolen. Apparently the unit suffers some shock or accident too, as the screen backlight flickers once a while. The thieves probably don't know how to handle electronics. Respect the machines man :(

So now we're working out on how to transport my data over the sea. The options are either burn them onto CDs or DVDs (going to take some hefty amount), or transport by means of hard disk. Honestly I couldn't care less about the unit anymore; I just want my data back on my lap :(

Now I'm crossing my fingers so that this went well.

Cyberians Loves To “Masterbate” ?

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

I saw this at some lifts in Cyberia Apartments, Cyberjaya earlier. Apparently someone thinks its funny to stick these signs.

Masturbate

I find it funny though, simply because his grammar and spelling is totally wrong :D. That's why not eveybody can make signs and warnings effectively.

Gained some, Lost some

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

Sounds a lot like life eh? I haven't been blogging much lately. There's just nothing to talk about. At least nothing I can really talk here and all of you would understand without asking me alot of further questions on MSN or giving me weird comments lateron.

Today, BeBe's car was broken into and my bagpack (along with my notebook, pendrive, mouse, shirts, HP Security card and a few important documents such as a warranty card (UNDATED argh) and my beloved (literal) notebook specially created by BeBe for us. It's one in this world. Only we have it :( - so yes, it is an important stuff)

There goes almost four grand of stuff. Lucky the car insurance can be claimed, least the loss is lessen. Spend almost an hour at Alamanda's security office clarifying report and they perform basic investigation. Spend another almost three hours at IPD Putrajaya to lodge reports, get the car inspected for finger prints and photos taken for the part affected.

Funny thing is that my Fuji s9500z is right next to the notebook bag and they don't bother to take it. The bag doesn't even look like a notebook bag to begin with. Maybe the stories on how they can detect notebook battery via a bluetooth enabled phones are real after all. Maybe its just their stupid luck. Or maybe the bunch of nescafe packets i showered on top of the camera's bag to hide it in the paper bag does it. Maybe maybe maybe.

At least I'm glad the car is still driveable, and the camera is safe. Notebook loss is not such a big deal if not for the data in it. Nothing really personal or sensitive though, but my freelance project flashes are there. The only copy of the source i have is in the pen drive in the very same bag. God dammit. The project worth more than the notebook itself, and I have like four days to go before deadline. I'm screwed.

On the better news, I've gotten myself a D70s. This would keep me busy for a while, both sulking and exploring. Tough life sometimes.

At least, on one important note, it doesn't really affect relationships with people. I hate it when problems does that. Who wouldn't anyways.

I'm alright. Now that I don't have a notebook for a while (typing this on BeBe's pc), I would be snapping like nobody's business.

Should anyone finds the notebook. I'll give you 20% of my freelance fee as reward! The only picture of it that I have is on my 'Carbonizing' post. Check it out!

I hope the asshole will have a lot of appetite for food and drink. Then after he eat all those, I hope he wouldn't be able to shit and piss. That would keep him full of shit and piss as he is already am. Pfft.

p/s: I really need to learn DVORAK properly. Edited this post like 90 times LOL

Trash Engineers, Part III

Saturday, August 12th, 2006

Here comes part 3 of my 'Trash Engineers' series of photoshoots. If you haven't read the first two parts, you can read the Part 1 and Part 2 first, although they are not in any particular order.

Next To Me

Another shot of laziness (or pure ignorance?). The trash can is like next to whoever that sit there earlier with those two coconut drinks, yet they refuse to throw it in and left the place. Pfft.

In The Slot

Since when does holes on the wall is meant to store used empty bottles of soda?

On The Pole

No trash can nearby? No Problem! Just throw it at your nearest pole and its going to be okay! If everybody can do it, why can't I?
