Of Pink Cellphones and British People with Bad Teeth

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

Cellphones (or hand phones, or mobile phones, however you like it) are mainly produced in black in the early 90-s, as a mere “off the wall” phone. In the early 2000s, cellphones started to come in “safe” colors like blue, silver, white and grey.

Only in the recent years that cellphones started coming with almost any color thinkable, and can be further changed, thanks to various easy to change “skin” phone housing that cost a dime nowadays. Cellphones have change from a mere phone to a communication tool to a fashion statement. One of the popular fashion color is Pink:

So what about the Pink Cellphone?

Five Reasons (of Why I Blog)

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

Thanks to the usual “nothing to do in the first three hours in the office” syndrome, I leisurely visited Fazri’s blog, and WHOA! I got TAGGED!

Fird Showcased in a Museum

And the question was “Five Reasons Why I Blog

  1. To Write (and so does everyone else that blog) - this is quite odd, really. I am not the best person you would find if you need anyone to write something. I naturally don’t like to write. However, I started finding writing about anything, and especially guides satisfies my self most of the time. So yeah, the blog exist as a medium for me to write all sort of things
  2. To B*tch/Rant/Complain/etc - I don’t do this often, but sometimes when I am in a pinch, whereby it is very difficult to convey the message to certain individual or the masses - I will resort to deliver it in my blog. Most of the time the targeted individual/company might not even know about the existence of this site, but that doesn’t matter
  3. To Share & Show - Often I will stumble upon some weird scenario or sighting that I wanted to share with others, and here is where I post them. I also occasionally will talk about some of my gadgets/stuffs that I recently acquired, although somehow lately the desire to do so have diminished tremendously
  4. To Fill Time - blogging often means more than simply writing. Nowadays I’m noticing that I will usually find reference of certain uncommon subjects in Wikipedia and read about it, link it in the post, and gained some knowledge at the end of the day. It’s also what I do (sometimes) when I need break from work, or when I have free time in the office.
  5. To prove that we can always do things because we can!, right, Fazri? :D

Now let’s see who do I want to tag? Justin, Jen, Shiro and Edo!

Google Home Page features Themes!

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

I’ve been using Google’s start page (http://www.google.com/ig) for a while now, and this morning when I sign in, I saw a new button - THEMES!

Google Page Theme googlepage01.jpg

What’s cute about the theme is that it will ask your country name once you’ve selected it, because the theme will reflect the day/night of your chosen city, and for some themes, even the sun’s location will be similar!

Check it out (Note: You need to have a Google Account to personalize your start page)

Another Step Ahead

Monday, March 19th, 2007

Isn’t it weird that when you have so many things you would like to share to everybody, that would be the time where you don’t feel like blogging at all?

That’s exactly what happened to me recently (and not so recently). There’s a lot of things that have happened to me as well as my surroundings, that most of them are blog-worthy - but I just don’t feel like putting it down on these pages, for no apparent reason.

For once, my tiring shift work days are over. No I did not job hop (in fact, I planned to stay here for a great deal of time). I am now the typical nine-to-six, five days workforce, who will be happily participating in the morning rush, and evening jam.

On the good note, I have given up on driving to work. It is just costly and tiring. The idea of having to pay yourself to drive just doesn’t make sense. I take trains now. At least I can relax throughout the journey. It’s fast too.

Workload increases tremendously. While previously I can waste company resources to surf, chat, blog and sometimes stream some music and videos off the net, now I hardly can find the chance to even think of it. Daily schedules includes meeting, and meeting and more meeting. After a mere three days of me into the new task, my MS Outlook calendar for the next few months is already filled up with meetings. Not even a single day spared! Yes I’m not exaggerating either.

On the good note though, I can see my near future target right on track!

Yes I know this post probably doesn’t mean anything to anyone else. But then again, that doesn’t matter. Right sayang? :)
