There’s once when I was Googling for silent ringtones, and I keep on stumbling upon so-called “teenager’s silent ringtone“. These ringtones are made in such high frequency that they claim most people in their parent’s generation are not able to hear due to the deterioration of their hearing.
The thing about these ringtones is that I can hear them, and they hurt my head quite astoundingly. I just want a completely silent ringtone to use!
“Why silent ringtone? Can’t you just mute your phone?” - some might ask. The purpose of having a silent ringtone is so that I can assign it to any people that I might not want to answer their calls immediately, if not at all. So after some rounds of frustation, I downloaded Audacity, and make one of my own.
Here’s the silent ringtones if you’d like to use:

Happy silencing!
A new version of Installer for iPhone and iPod Touch have been released earlier today. I did not fiddle it around too much to discover every new feature that it sports, but I did notice that they have finally implemented a search bar in the Packages selection page.

Finally, my long prayer have been answered! Kudos to the developers at Nullriver Software and RiP Dev of this one wonderful tool that opens all possibilities to install any desired 3rd party applications!

I got sick of carrying two gadgets around, so I take a drastic measure - sell both and get one that can do both! I’m using a HP 512 Voice Messenger that I bought myself for my birthday last year, and somewhere in Nov 2007, lady luck grants my wish and I won myself an iPod Touch.
But you see, carrying these items in my pocket is starting to be a burden - because I keep coins in my pocket as well, I don’t want to risk scratching the iPod Touch, so I have to put it in one pocket and junk everything else in another pocket, and I appear like an army wearing slacks due to the bulge on the other pockets.
So after rounds of auctioning and answering silly ultra-low-price offers from various people (trust me, those who have sold items in LowYat would understand this), I manage to sell them off at a price I’m comfortable with, and I got myself this:

And now I can carry only one item - not even in my pocket, but attached firmly on my belt!
I am aware of severe limitation on this device, as it isn’t as cutting-edge or modern like most smartphones out there. But I was thinking “Ah what the heck! If not now, then never!”. Best part of this? I actually made some profit by switching!
